Is Your Web Site Working?

So you’ve got a web site, but you wonder is it doing anything for me?

Well, it all depends on how you measure it, as with any form of marketing a web site is hard to measure.  Sure, you can see 1,000 people were on it last week and they came from Google, your vendor, you can see what keywords they used to find you with etc etc.  But, is it actually doing anything for you?  If you do not sell products right online, this is even harder to determine.

QC Total Tech, we ourselves have a Facebook page, Twitter account, YouTube channel and of course this web site.  We send out weekly e-mail blasts, and are actively promoting the site through referrals, word of mouth etc.   However, it is not very often when someone calls and says hey, I called you because I found you on Google….however, every single one of them says I heard about you on (google, from my friend, an e-mail, etc) and I took a look at your site and …. they ALL look at our web site.  Your web site is your first line of defense, do you want to know if its working? Ask your customers!  Give out surveys, post one online, keep it short and sweet and see what they have to say.

Would you be interested in your web site?  Is it boring?  Do you have nice readable content?  Do you have compelling material?  I mean seriously, look at your site would you really wanna sit and read any of it?

Long story short, ask your customers if its working, what would they like to see, ask them how they found you and your site and look over your content, theres a lot of boring stuff out there!
